A Great Way You Can Make a Difference Today

In launching Well Traveled Kids, it is my goal to create a site full of great stories and tips that celebrate the art of traveling WELL with kids. I hope that this content inspires many families to check in often and follow the site regularly. I hope to attract sponsors and advertisers and find other ways to generate revenue to support the site. Every year, I promise to donate 50% of any annual profits to charities that bring play, adventure and travel to ALL kids.

In the meantime, I want to include an easy way to empower my readers to make a difference today if you like what Well Traveled Kids is all about.

One of the charities that I’m most passionate about is KaBOOM! because I love play for all kids.  KaBOOM! partners with needy communities and raises funds to build playgrounds in areas that are considered play deserts. Over the last 3 years our family has been very involved with supporting KaBOOM!. My husband and I have volunteered on playground builds, and Harry has requested donations in lieu of birthday gifts for his last 3 birthdays. Harry just celebrated his 4th birthday last month. Below is a link to his KaBOOM! Birthday fundraising site; he is featured playing in the accompanying video.

I know that travel and adventure encourage creativity, and play is essential for all kids. KaBOOM! is doing important work to make cities everywhere more playful places for families to visit and to live in. If you are inspired to make a difference today please consider a donation to KaBOOM!

Thanks for your generosity!

If you are interested in learning more or making your own contribution please watch Harry’s Birthday video or visit Harry’s Birthday fundraising site to donate.
